Waybuloo

Following in the footsteps of hugely successful TV shows like Teletubbies and In the Night Garden, Waybuloo is set to be the newest smash hit TV programme aimed at pre-school children. In addition, Waybuloo Toys are predicted to have a similar impact on the world-wide toy market as the range of In the Night Garden toys.

Each episode of Waybuloo takes place in the magical world of Nara, based on the look and feel of a tranquil Japanese garden, and centres around the Piplings, 4 cute and loveable computer-animated characters named De Li, Lau Lau, Nok Tok and Yojojo. Each show begins with a small group of half a dozen children searching for the Piplings in a fun game of hide and seek, and the heart of every Waybuloo episode is a warm morality story designed to help younger children understand concepts like sharing and having respect for others. Waybuloo beautifully combines the captivating features of computer-generated animation with live action video of the children in the huge expanse that is the magical world of Nara.

The Piplings also take part in Yogo, a gentle type of exercise that is very similar to yoga. The Waybuloo Yogo movements and poses are frequently stimulated by things that the Waybuloo characters see in Nara, for example birds, trees and Narabugs.

The “Call to Yogo” is the cue for the Piplings to stop what they are doing and meet in front of the Yogo machine to practise their Yogo movements and poses. The Piplings know when the “Call to Yogo” takes place when the suns rays shine on the beautiful coloured crystals of the very old Yogo machine, the machine begins to turn and makes a wonderful sound.

In Waybuloo, the Piplings engage with their young audience and together they learn how to relate to friends and their environment in a fun and enjoyable manner. Each episode of Waybuloo ends with the four Waybuloo characters, or Piplings, floating up in the air as they become really happy, achieving their “buloo”.
